  LED display manufacturers: Familiar people know that there are two ways to adjust the brightness of full-color LED display: automatic adjustment and manual adjustment. Automatic adjustment is a way of adaptively intelligently adjusting the brightness according to the ambient brightness, and the manual adjustment method is realized by software, so let's see if it is useful to adjust the brightness of the display screen by software?

The current software adjusts the brightness, generally 256 levels can be adjusted. In fact, the software is just an operation interface, and the operation of the software finally changes the PWM duty cycle of the LED display driver to realize the change of brightness.


Two control the brightness of one LED display:


  One is to change the current flowing through the LED display. Under normal circumstances, the continuous working current allowed by the LED tube is about 20mA. Except for the saturation phenomenon of the red LED, the brightness of other LEDs is basically proportional to the current. The second is to use the visual inertia of the human eye and use the pulse width modulation method to achieve grayscale control, that is, to periodically change the light pulse width (ie duty cycle), as long as the refresh frequency is high enough, the human eye will not feel the light-emitting pixel jitter. Because pulse width modulation is more suitable for digital control, almost all LED display screens use pulse width modulation to control grayscale today when computers provide LED display content.

  At present, the brightness of outdoor full-color LED display reaches more than 1500cd/m2, in order to ensure the normal operation of the display, otherwise it will appear too low to see the image display. But at present, the brightness of many outdoor LED displays exceeds 5000cd/m2, and the effect of playing during the day is good, but such high brightness at night will cause serious light pollution and cause trouble to nearby residents.
  Therefore, it is necessary to determine the brightness of the LED display, and it is an effective method to adjust the brightness through software and common practice in the industry. Generally, LED display manufacturers will have special training for the software after the completion of the display project, the purpose is to help customers get started with management operations as soon as possible.
